Stetson University recognizes the achievement fo students who have successfully completed rigorous pre-college courses and awards credit for outstanding scores earned on Advanced Placement (AP) exams, International Baccalaureate (IB) exams, and Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) exams. Students earning an IB or AICE diploma and doing exceptionally well on the corresponding exams will be guaranteed sophomore status and 7 course units or 28 credits.
The Registrarís Office maintains web pages that state the specific policies explaining how Stetson assigns credit for AP, IB, and AICE exams. There are also charts listing the exams and the credit that may be earned for each exam. See AP, IB and AICE Exams for details.
Stetson allows a maximum of 8 units (32 credits) to be awarded for pre-college examinations. Credit is not awarded in the same subject for two examinations.
Examination scores should be sent to the Registrarís Office.
