Courses That Must Be Taken at Stetson

First-Year Seminar: All students who transfer in fewer than 24 credits that were earned after graduation from high school must take a First-Year Seminar.

Writing: All students who are not transferring in with an AA degree must use an appropriate Writing or Writing Intensive course taken at Stetson to satisfy the Writing requirement. A Writing course taken at another university may be transferred in, but it will count as elective credit. Students transferring in with an AA degree must demonstrate essential competency for the Writing requirement. See Writing Requirement for additional details.

Junior Seminar: Students who are required to take a Junior Seminar as part of their General Education requirements must take it at Stetson.

Modern Language: Students in the College of Arts & Sciences may only use a course taken at Stetson to satisfy the Modern Language option in the General Education requirements. Modern Language courses may be transferred in, but they will count as electives.
