Welcome to the Stetson University Advising Handbook. The goal for this set of web pages is to provide faculty and students with quick access to the information that will allow students to make well informed decisions about which classes to take, how to choose a major, and how to handle difficulties that arise both academically and in the wider realm of life at the University.
This is a work-in-progress. New pages are planned that will expand the scope of the handbook, and existing pages will be revised to correct errors, eliminate bugs, and improve the overall appearance. Please help me to improve the content of the pages by calling errors and imperfections to my attention. I can be contacted at the following link: George Glander.

In creating these pages I have shamelessly copied material created by Toni Blum in the original advising handbook for faculty. I would like to thank Richard Ferland, Erich Friedman, Kari Juusela, Leonard Nance, Megan O’Neill, and Ted Surynt for reviewing various sections of this handbook and making very helpful editorial suggestions.
