AMSA members Mercedes Pacheco, Steven VanHook and Tiffany Smith listen to the presentation of a medical school admissions director.

Stetson has a student-run organization called AMSA (American Medical Student Association) which provides our pre-health students with many important opportunities. These include:

  • hosting guest speakers who discuss their professions with students (their is no better way to find out about a profession)

  • having admissions personnel from professional schools talk with students about admissions procedures.

  • taking field trips to professional schools in Florida

  • offering medically-related volunteer, community service and internship opportunities

  • offering tutoring assistance

AMSA also offers students the opportunity to become leaders on campus by becoming an AMSA board member.
