Sample Activities
Some of the many activities which are part of the program:
 - Learning the Strategy: Attacking the passage or problem by becoming an engaged, critical reader and math thinker.
- Modeling the Strategy: Recognizing the differences between right and wrong answers.
- Practicing the Strategy: Showing teachers how to use sample Passages or problems with teachers role playing students.
- Using the Strategy: Using passages or problems from teacher's own classroom materials to employ the strategy to other workshop participants.
- Learning the Similarities: Activities that solidify the understanding of the common characteristics between the FCAT Reading and Math Tests ... and playing a game.
- Learning the Differences: Participating in activities to help teachers learn how teaching reading for school is different from reading for a standardized test. Participating in activities that help teachers show their students numbers of simple techniques that improve math scores.
