Can I take this class even if I don’t care about becoming Oracle certified?
Yes. This course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of SQL programming and development. Most professions will find it useful even if they do not desire a certification. You will be taught PL/SQL in a comprehensive manner, not just the contents of the certification exam.
How many tests are required to Oracle Database Expert SQL certification?
Depends. The 1Z0-147 Program with PL/SQL is the 2nd required examination in obtaining a Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate (OCA) certification. The candidate must also pass either exam 1Z0-051 Oracle Database 11g SQL Fundamentals or 1Z0-047 Oracle Database SQL Expert.
Does this course guarantee that I will pass exam: 1Z0-147 Oracle Database 11g SQL Fundamentals?
No. This class does guarantee that every topic presented on the exam will be covered in detail during your classroom hours at Stetson. In the end, final exam preparation and the results of the exam are up to you. If you apply yourself and do the work, you should do well on the exam.
Where can I take exam for 1Z0-147 Database Expert SQL?
Oracle has specifically located certified testing authorities for the administration of their exams. Your instructor will help you find a location that works best for you and help you to contact the testing center and make an appointment.
Is there any homework?
Possibly. Your instructor will usually only give out recommended reading assignments. All other computer work is done in the classroom during your normal session. If you miss a session, the Instructor will inform you if you need to make up the work to stay current with the rest of your class.
Do I have to share a computer?
No. All work on the lab portions of the course are done alone. You are free to team up with a classmate or co-worker if you are attending together however.
