Overview
Web Foundations I (Web Development) introduces new Technology students to the components of Web planning, design, and deployment using core technologies including XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Training in XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript is the starting point to obtaining these skill which will prove invaluable if student's continue to expand their Web development expertise by learning Web scripting with languages such as PHP and ASP.

A comprehensive course that takes students from zero Web development knowledge to a level of skill that enables them to design, create, and implement industry and standards compliant Web content.

This course is for people who want to obtain skills that make them more competitive in the market of today. Gain the skills and confidence to work on projects involving Web development and know that you work will adhere to the most widely used standards today.

Class Format
The course will be part lecture, part case-study, and part group-review. Each session will specifically target a particular facet of the technology. In this way, the sessions will be organized into an order that meets the students' needs. A portion of class may be opened for guided, hands-on work. Students are required to complete outside reading assignments and complete work on a Case Study prior to each class. Students may be called upon to present their case studies work as it progresses.
