Study of the basic principles of financial analysis as they are applied to the operation of the enterprise. Financial decisions such as cash flow budgeting and planning, capital expenditure decisions, and capital structure decisions will be considered as well as firm interaction with capital markets.

  • Understand the concepts of risk and return and how they affect firms in their relationships with individual investors and the capital markets.

  • Understand and apply capital budgeting concepts to project analysis.
  • Understand how to determine and optimize the firm’s cost of capital.
