Dean Dickerson leaves the College of Law

Stetson is experiencing a changing of the guards as Dean Darby Dickerson has left to become the Dean of Texas Tech University School of Law. Dean Dickerson has left some big shoes to fill after serving 16 years at the College of Law. “I want to thank Stetson for the many wonderful opportunities it has provided me over the years,” said Dean Dickerson. “It is an amazing school that I am proud to have served. Deciding to leave was difficult, but Texas Tech is a compelling institution that quickly felt like a great match.”

Professor Royal Gardner will be serving as the interim Dean of the College of Law as a new committee has just been formed to make a nation-wide search for the next dean of the Stetson University College of Law. Having served as the vice dean and the associate dean for academics, he is well prepared for this leadership roll.
