Homecoming 2012
This year’s Homecoming was held in the Fall for the first time in over 50 years! November 2-4 Hatters from across the nation came back to campus to reunite, reconnect, and reminisce with classmates.
Events kicked off on Friday evening with the Food and Wine Festival where Hatters enjoyed food from around the world on the Stetson Green. On the other side of campus, a carnival and pep rally brought Hatters of all ages together for fun and games. Later on, the Edmunds Center became a packed house, as Brad Sherwood and Colin Mochrie from Whose Line is it Anyway? performed to a sold out crowd. The evening was capped off with a grand finale firework show!
We didn’t slow down there! On Saturday, November 3rd East Minnesota Avenue was closed off for the Food Truck Bazaar and the Green and White Football game. A record number of alumni, family, and friends turned out for this exciting event. Even half time was jam packed with excitement as past football players from Stetson’s last football team were honored, the Homecoming King and Queen were announced, and the Greek Legacy Cup winners were recognized.
Homecoming weekend was a tremendous success! If you didn’t make it to campus this year, we hope to see you next year as we celebrate Stetson’s first Football season in over 50 years! Spring Break Choir Tour
As campus slows down for Spring Break, the Stetson Concert Choir will be on tour and possibly heading to a city near you! March 2-9, 2013 they will be traveling through Florida to Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia. They will be making stops in Tampa, Birmingham, New Orleans, Nashville, Atlanta, Savannah, and Jacksonville. More information will be forthcoming. And be sure to check our events page.
Atlanta Social
Alumni, friends, and parents will gather together April 27, 2013 at the historic Glenridge Hall in Atlanta, GA. Come mingle and catch up with fellow Hatter alumni while enjoying light appetizers and drinks. More information will be forthcoming.
