From the initial Proquest page which also searches non-business databases, select Search Collections then make your selection of ABI/INFORM Complete or Dateline. Full-text articles you retrieve may also include hot links through IntelliDocs to Hoovers Company Information. You may limit your search to peer reviewed articles and to full-text articles only. ABI/Inform Global has the complete text of business articles from more than 600 journals from the early 1990s to date and indexing or abstracts (summaries) from more than 1500 journals, dating back to the late 1970s. ABI/Inform Dateline covers leading sources of local and regional business news. Researchers can find articles about thousands of small companies and start-ups as well as local offices and regional operations of major corporations. The database also offers in-depth profiles of entrepreneurs, city business leaders, CEOs, and other executives. Researchers can easily find information to meet specific needs because a team of editors index more than a dozen elements of each article, including subjects, company names, ticker symbols, D-U-N-S numbers, and complete bibliographic information. ABI/Inform Trade & Industry is composed of more than 700 publications targeting specific industries.

    Description: This database is the online equivalent of the print Direction of Trade Statistics. The first item below the root level of the directory tree is the Economic Concept View. This provides a means of selecting one or more concepts across one or more selected countries. The second and third items (the Country Tables and World and Area Tables views) provide access to the data via presentation tables similar to the country tables and world and area tables found in the Direction of Trade Statistics Yearbook and Direction of Trade Quarterly print publications. You can retrieve any of these tables in their entirety (using the Retrieve Table Button), or you can retrieve selected individual series from any table (by selecting the series and using the Add and Retrieve Buttons). The next item is the Cross-Country Matrix View. You have the capability of building a matrix of reporter and partner countries for a single date and concept.

It reports, for most countries of the world, current data needed in the analysis of problems of international payments and of inflation and deflation, i.e., data on exchange rates, international liquidity, international banking, money and banking, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government accounts, and national accounts. The IFS database contains time series data since 1948. The user can browse the database, select series of interest, display the selected series in a spreadsheet format, and save the selected series for transfer to other software systems, such as Microsoft Excel. The IFS database contains approximately 32,000 time series covering more than 200 countries and areas and includes all series appearing on the IFS Country Pages; exchange rate series for all Fund member countries, plus Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles; major Fund accounts series; and most other world, area, and country series from the IFS World Tables. The Country, World, and Commodity Prices Tables, as presented in the monthly printed copy of IFS, are available as selection options. The Economic Concept View provides a cross-country view of the concepts in the IFS by individual or groups of countries.
