    Description: 1956 to present. The American Bibliography of Slavic and East European Studies (ABSEES) has been compiled continuously since 1956 under the auspices of the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies AAASS). The bibliography is currently based at the University Library of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. ABSEES covers North American scholarship on Eastern Europe, Russia, and the former Soviet Union. It contains bibliographic records for journal articles, books, book chapters, book reviews, dissertations, and selected government publications. If the bibliographical citation is to a journal to which the library subscribes through EbscoHost, the full text of the article is linked and available from the ABSEES citation.
