Database Description
CultureGrams consists of three editions of country reports updated annually: World Edition is especially useful for those in international business or planning trips abroad. It is a concise reference tool created by natives and long-time residents to give you an insider’s perspective. Each report seeks a balance between generality and breadth, on one hand, and detail and depth on the other. Local customs, are included, along with national flags, national anthems, basic economic and social data, politics and history, etc. World Kids Edition contains some of the same information as the World Edition, but the format and content is oriented toward the K-8 grade levels. This will be especially useful for those in the Teacher Education Department in creating social studies lesson plans. The National Curriculum Standards for history, social studies, and
English language arts are included.
States Edition is also designed for grades K-8, with information on
politics, history, geography, economics, etc., of the fifty states and
Washington, D.C. |
