A valid barcoded Stetson University ID is your Library Card. Your ID, along with the materials you wish to check out, must be presented at the Circulation Desk, just inside the main entrance.

If you are not a Stetson University student or a member of the University faculty or staff, we invite you to become a Stetson Library Associate. Associates receive either a complimentary Libary Access Card or a complimentary Library Membership Card, depending on the level of support. For more information, please see our Library Use Policies and Procedures.

Students and staff may check out books for 28 days. Books may be renewed for another 28 days if no "hold" exists for that particular title. Faculty have two due dates per year for books, at the beginning of each semester. Videos and DVDs may be checked out for seven days. There is no limit on the number of items that may be checked out.

During library hours, materials may be returned to the Circulation Desk. A book drop is located next to the Library entrance for your convenience.

FINES AND FEES

Overdue fines are not charged. The Library will bill, however, for items that are not returned. Please note: If the Library has sent a student a billing notice and overdue items are still not returned, the student will be charged for the cost of each item and a $1.00 per item non-refundable service charge.

The library will charge for damaged material, including dog-earred pages, pencil marks, pen marks, highlighted passages, water damage, etc. The charge will depend on the extent of the damage, but will not exceed the value of a replacement copy of the book.
