Morse Collection of Musician Photographs

Orwin Allison Morse directed the Stetson University School of Music from 1904-1909. His family donated a collection of photos of famous musicians, most autographed or personally signed to Mr. Morse. Although most of the photos were taken in the 1920s when Mr. Morse lived in Sioux City, Iowa, a number of these musicians performed at Stetson during Mr. Morse's tenure. Also found in the Morse collection was a letter from Warren G. Harding written to his wife Florence Harding in 1894 when he was 29 years old. It is not known how the letter came to the Morse family.
