The Regar Collection includes a number of newspaper clippings with details of the family history.

Newspaper article on the wedding of William John Regar and Fannie Norton Allen. The wedding took place in the First Baptist church which was decorated with bamboo and potted plants.

Newspaper article on the wedding of William John Regar and Fannie Norton Allen. This article calls the wedding "one of the prettiest weddings that was ever witnessed in DeLand." The newlyweds were given a "chest of silver" from the bride's family and Mrs. John B. Stetson's gift was "a handsome silver tray with monogram."

Obituary (copy) of James Frederick Allen (February 15, 1847 - March 8, 1929). Called one of DeLand's "foremost and widely respected citizens," Fred had been in the DeLand furnishing and undertaking businesses and was survived by his wife, Calista, his four grandchildren, and six grandchildren.

Obituary of Calista Norton Allen (October 8, 1852 - June 27, 1940). A Maine native, Calista had been a DeLand resident since 1875. At the time of her death she had four surviving children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Obituary of James A. "Gus" Allen (December 11, 1877 - December 10, 1942), son of James and Calista Allen; brother of Fannie Norton Allen Regar. Gus Allen was a prominent DeLand businessman, acting as a senior member of the Allen-Summerhill Funeral Company and the Allen Furnishing establishment.

Obituary of Fannie Norton Allen Regar (March 20, 1880 - May 9, 1964). Fannie had one son, Jeffred, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren at the time of her death.
