How to Register and Use the CCH Tax and Accounting Database

(Limited to Stetson Students, Faculty, & Staff)

REGISTRATION: All Stetson students or faculty or staff members must create an account before using the CCH Tax and Accounting Database. This is mandated by the database vendor rather than the library.

Choose CCH Tax and Accounting from the alphabetical list on the library's database page (stetson.edu/library/databases.php).

Choose "Click this link to create a User ID."

Fill in the registration boxes. Use your Stetson e-mail address as your User ID. You should get a message that you have successfully completed the registration.

Click the "Log In to IntelliConnect" button and log in. The first time you log on, you will get a video tutorial. You will not get the tutorial the next time you login.

At the login screen, there is an option to check "log me in automatically." This is useful for those using their own office on-campus computers, but will not work for off-campus use.

At the upper right of the home screen, a tour, quick reference guide, quick start, and other help material is always available.

Click LOGOUT at the upper right when done with your session.

Using CCH Tax and Accounting

CCH Tax and Accounting is a large library of tax and accounting information, including three major categories of documents:

  1. Official Government Publications on Tax
    • Internal Revenue Code
    • Internal Revenue Manual
    • Letter Rulings
    • IRS Positions
    • Federal Tax Regulations
    • Tax Cases
  2. CCH Interpretive and Analytical Material
    • Standard Federal Income Tax Reporter
    • CCH Tax Research Consultant
    • U.S. Master Tax Guide
  3. Current Awareness Services
    • Daily and weekly newsletters on tax law developments
To Search:
  1. In the ALL CONTENT box, click "Federal Tax."
  2. On the Federal Tax screen, scroll down the page to view categories of information and select specific sources.
  3. Enter search terms in the search box at the top of the screen.
