Welcome New Faculty Members!

The librarians and library staff welcome you to Stetson! We want you to know about the library's collections, resources, and services that are available to you as a Stetson faculty member.

To assist you in your teaching and research we offer several special services:

Instruction: librarians can help teach your students to evaluate information, use library databases, or do research on specific topics.
Reserves: we can place assigned readings on reserve for your students.
Interlibrary Loans: subsidized interlibrary loans are available to assist you with your research.
Ordering library material: faculty may suggest library purchases from their department library allocation.

You and your dependents can check out books, videos, and DVDs with a barcoded Stetson ID card. Each dependent should have his or her own Stetson ID card. To get your ID cards, go to the ID Office located in the Carlton Union Building weekdays between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.

The library's home page will lead you to a wide array of resources. You can search the library Library Catalog catalog to find books, videos, DVDs, and other material we own. Or you may want to use the more than 100 subscription databases to find journal and magazine articles, business data, encyclopedias, and much more. To use the subscription databases from off-campus, you will need a Stetson email account.
