Math Resources

Math Clinic
Each semester Stetson University sponsors a Math Clinic (study lab) operated by the Department of Mathematics/Computer Science and directed by Andi Miles.

Fall 2012 Schedule
Monday - Thursday
7 - 10 pm in Rm 209 Elizabeth Hall

You must be registered in one of the lower level mathematics courses (through Calculus 2) to take advantage of the clinic. There is no charge for coming. The clinic will have staff members present each evening to help you with any math problems that arise in any of the courses mentioned above. If you are having trouble with some homework and don't know what to do, come to the Math Clinic. If you have a test later in the week and just want to review a few sticky points, come to the Math Clinic. But please, don't come to the clinic and expect to get a lecture about a class that you may have missed. The staff is not there to give a class lecture. They are there to clear up problems that give you trouble. You may choose to come and sit quietly doing your math homework, asking an occasional question, or you may choose to come, get an answer to one or two questions, and leave. The clinic is being offered to help you. We hope it will provide one more dimension to our program. But it will only be helpful if you come and use it. If you have any comments or suggestions about the clinic or how it is run, please feel free to stop by my office any time, or call me. We want to know what you think about it!
