The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is pleased to announce that we have recently been awarded a multi-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to provide scholarships to students who major in Computing or Mathematics at Stetson University. In order to qualify for these prestigious scholarships, students must

  • Be United States citizens, nationals, refugee aliens, or permanent resident aliens at the time of application,
  • Be enrolled full time in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Digital Arts-Computer Science Track, or Mathematics degree programs,
  • Demonstrate academic potential or ability (as evidenced by SAT scores, high-school and/or transfer GPA, AP scores and IB status), and
  • Demonstrate financial need as defined by the US Department of Education rules for need-based Federal financial aid

Each scholarship carries a maximum amount of $12,500 payable over four years at $3125 per year. These scholarships will be awarded in addition to any other financial aid received from Stetson or any other scholarship sources. All recipients are expected to maintain a minimum set of academic standards in pursuit of their degree.
