The purpose of the Stetson University Chapter of The Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) is to encourage and enhance interest and understanding of the concepts of computer operations and their development, and to explore and promote an understanding both within the organization and the local community of the importance of computers in our modern society.

We have many ideas, which we are in the process of implementing in the next year. Naturally, we would like to attend nearby ACM events, such as competitions and conventions, as well as implement some of our own:

• Guest Speakers
• Develop a team for Programming Competitions
• Trips to local high technology businesses and industries
• Spread interest and awareness about computers to the campus and community
• Internet Development
• Conduct programming contests
