Long Meg Standing Stone, near Penrith, North England

This photo of Long Meg was taken near Sunset on June 22, 2000. If one looks carefully, one can see a purple ribbon tied around the stone about one third up from the bottom. There is also a flower offering at the base of the stone. Long Meg stands outside the sixth largest stone circle in Britain. It is a popular site for Pagan practice.
