Senate Leadership

Speaker of the Senate – elected by the body, the speaker is the chair of the Senate. The Speaker also sets the agenda for each meeting of the Senate

President pro Tempore – elected by the body, the President pro Tempore will serve as chair in the absence of the Speaker.

Clerk of the Senate – appointed by the Vice President, the Clerk assists the Chair in setting the agenda for meetings of the Senate, records official minutes of each meeting and other clerical duties for the Senate

Parliamentarian – appointed by the Vice President, the Parliamentarian advises the Chair, committee chairs, and all members of the Senate on proper parliamentary procedure.
