To become a member of TAP you must be accumulate points. How can you accumulate points? By being active in the theatre department.

There are three areas that points are gathered from.

bulletOn stage performance. Acting
bulletBackstage work. Lighting, Stage Design, Set Construction, Props.
bulletAcademic work. Theatre related courses

 

You get a certain amount of points depending on the role or difficulty of the job. For example a lead role would get more points than a minor role would. Once a person is a member, they are a member for life. There is a one time $45 initiation fee that covers your certificate, card, pin, and other membership costs.

bulletA Current Member is a person who is either a student or faculty at Stetson University who has paid their dues and has been initiated.
bulletA Tappee is a person who has been Tapped by Theta Alpha Phi. After paying their dues they will be initiated and become a Current Member.
bulletAlumni Members were Current Members that graduated or left the University.
