My primary responsibility is the management of the Government Documents Department, which consists of U.S. Government documents received through the Federal Depository Library Program and Florida documents received through the State Documents Depository Program. I also provide in-depth reference service for materials, both print and electronic, in this collection. You'll also see me staffing the Reference Desk.
I'm a 1980 graduate of Boston College (Go Eagles!) with a B.A. degree in Political Science. I received a Master's degree in Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University in 1989.
I'm an amateur U.S. Civil War historian, with a special interest in battlefield tactics and leadership in the Army of Northern Virginia and the Army of the Potomac. I've spent many a vacation touring Civil War historical sites both famous and obscure!
My other interests and hobbies are hiking, canoeing, film, and folk
dancing, especially Irish set dancing, which is somewhat similar to American
square dancing.
