Investigative Internship Program at the Georgetown University Law
Center Criminal Justice Clinic
Interns investigate and research criminal cases for attorneys in the
law school's Criminal Justice Clinic. Investigative interns are involved
in all aspects of the case and trial preparation with responsibilities
including interviewing witnesses, checking backgrounds, photographing crime
scenes, and testifying at trial. It is an excellent way to learn about
the law by being involved in its practice. Extensive training is provided.
No experience or prerequisite coursework is required. The contact person
is Keri A. Salzillo, Investigations Supervisor, email salzilik@law.georgetown.edu

Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems
Program combines academic courses for credit with internships providing
practical work experience, lectures by prominent government and policy

resource for pursuing future careers. Intern responsibilities vary, but
often include covering congressional hearings, conducting research, coordinating
events, managing databases, and writing for a newsletter or other publication.
All students must be undergraduates who have completed at least two
semesters of study at an accredited college or umversity by the start of
the institute. For more information: http:/www.dcinternships.org

Project Vote Smart
The focus for interns is to provide them with the best practical hands-on
experience possible. Students gain experience in the art of fundraising
in our membership department. They can improve their research skills with
the National Political Awareness Test and the Vote Smart Web, and refine
their communication skills with the press department, Voter's Research
Hotline, and our new national media and library partnership project. There
are countless ways for interns to take their theoretical education and
ground it in "real life", professional experience. For further information:
