Apocalyptic Orthodox cleric subject of criminal case

UPTsMP PRIEST WHO URGED JOINING "ORTHODOX GUARDS" AND FIGHTING "JUNTA" TO BE TRIED IN ODESSA PROVINCE

RISU, 15 February 2015

The Ismail district court of Odessa province took for consideration the criminal proceeding involving the rector of the Peter and Paul church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow patriarchate in the village of Kamyshovka, Ismail district, Archpriest Aleksei Greku.

The batyushka is accused of the crime defined by article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—"infringement of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine." As the investigation established, both from the pulpit and on that pages of the church's newsletter Revelation he predicted the imminent "rebirth of united Rus" and urged parishioners to join "Orthodox Guards" for the struggle with "the Antichrist in the form of the junta of Kiev." One of the editions of the newsletter, which incidentally was printed with the blessing of the metropolitan of Odessa and Ismail, is on the Internet. One can access it there.

The priest is at large under his own recognizance. The preparatory session for the case is scheduled for 17 February. Meanwhile, the "Dumskaya" of the Kamyshovka village council was told that Aleksei Greku is not ioihnow in Ukraine; he departed for the Russian federation "on business."

We note that before the Maidan, Father Aleksei was no less passionate than he now is, with respect to the "junta of Kiev," in fighting with various "sectarians," by which he means all protestant confessions, and with identification numbers, electronic cashless accounts, and other satanic inventions.
