LEADER OF ASSOCIATION OF ORTHODOX EXPERTS OF RPTsMP ACCUSES HEAD OF EKATERINBURG METROPOLITANATE OF HIS CHURCH OF DRIVING KNIFE INTO THE BACK OF HEROES OF NEW RUSSIA
The head of the Ekaterinburg metropolitanate of RPTsMP, Metropolitan Kirill, drove an "Orthodox" knife into the back of the martyrs of Odessa and heroes of New Russia [Novorossia], "who are fighting for Sacred Rus and the Orthodox faith," as well as of the Pochaev lavra and all enemies of the "Kiev junta," Kirill Frolov, the leader of the Association of Orthodox Experts of RPTsMP maintained on 5 May in his blog.
Metropolitan Kirill was appointed head of the Ekaterinburg metropolitanate and raised to the rank of metropolitan by Patriarch Kirill in October 2011. The leader of the Association of Orthodox Experts also constantly emphasizes his unconditional loyalty to the patriarch in everything, suggesting that only a union of Kirill and V.V. Putin "will save Russia."
Commenting on a remark by the Ekaterinburg metropolitan about the impermissibility of enflaming hostility between Russia and Ukraine, Kirill Frolov accuses the hierarch of trying "to suppress the fact of fascism in the 'Ukro-Reich,' and the fact that the junta of Poroshenko is destroying the canonical church." The APE leader also accused Metropolitan Kirill of demagogy, suppression, and treachery.
"The interview of Metr. Kirill," Frolov writes, "recalls the statement by the head of the 'Echo of Treason,' Benediktov, about the fact that 'both sides' are guilty in the 'Odessa Khatyn.' According to Metropolitan Kirill's 'logic,' in order 'not to drive a knife into the back,' we should support Poroshenko, the murder of the Odessa martyrs, the genocide of Novorossia, the Unia, and the destruction of the church, and go against Russia and Putin."
Kirill Frolov thinks that the reason for the "treachery" of the highly placed hierarch of the RPTsMP was a visit by the ambassador of the USA to the RF, John Tefft, and the mayor of Ekaterinburg to Metropolitan Kirill. "The USA is searching for 'weak links' in the episcopate of the Russian Church and 'alternatives' to Patriarch Kirill. We do not rule out that Roizman and Metropolitan Kirill promised something to Tefft," the "expert" writes.
"The Association of Orthodox Experts bows its knee to the Orthodox Russian people of Novorossia and asks forgiveness for such statements of the Ekaterinburg vladyka," the leader of APE writes in his statement. (tr. by PDS, posted 8 May 2015)
