Russian artist raises security alarm over Jehovah's Witnesses

DISTINGUISHED ARTIST SERGEI SIUKHIN DEMANDS BAN ON ACTIVITY OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES "ON MODEL OF SODOMITES"

Portal-credo.ru, 1 July 2015

"The extremist activity of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Arkhangelsk province must be stopped by judicial means," Sergei Siukhin, a distinguished artist of the Russian federation, declared. The famous cultural leader expressed outrage over "violations of Russian laws by the sect" and he emphasized that "the prosecutor's office should pursue the case to the end, since this is a direct assault on the foundations of the state." This was reported on 1 July by 29.Ru.

We recall that this spring law enforcement agencies confiscated from Arkhangelsk Jehovists a large stash of printed religious productions that have been ruled extremist. The literature was intended for mass distribution among residents of the city and province.

"The time has now come when vast efforts and resources have been aimed at the destruction of our fatherland from within, because breaking it with the power of force has not worked. The Jehovah's Witnesses are one of the most powerful organizations, aiming at the destruction of Russian cultures and spirituality. They have one goal: to confuse and bewilder our people and undermine Christians traditions," the press service of the Arkhangelsk and Kholmogory diocese of RPTsMP quoted the words of Sergei Siukhin.

The distinguished artist said that the Russian leadership of Jehovah's Witnesses "stand in the same rank with 'swamp' leaders and bought journalists and political figures who work for its destruction and receive money into a common American money box."

Sergei Siukhin noted that the Arkhangelsk provincial Assembly of Deputies must devote the most serious attention to the Jehovah's Witnesses. The representatives of the cultural realm thinks "a law should be adopted at the regional level that restricts the activity of sects."

"In Arkhangelsk we have managed to prohibit the propaganda of homosexuality, although there was mighty resistance from sodomites throughout the world," Siukhin declared.

Sergei Nikandrovich Siukhin was born in 1952 in the village of Puchuga of Verkhnetoemsk district. He graduated from the V.M. Vasnetsov Abramtsevo School (outside Moscow) and the Ivan Fedorov Ukrainian Polygraphy Institute (Lvov, Ukrainian SSR). He works in the area of painting and drawing. He is well known for his illustrations of books, primarily of northern writers, and for his sculptural compositions erected on the streets of Arkhangelsk. In 2003 he was awarded the title of distinguished artist of Russia. (tr. by PDS, posted 4 July 2015)
