Ukrainian Orthodox church building damaged by fire

Today, at 4:05 in Lvov, a wooden church of the Kiev patriarchate caught fire. This was reported by the state emergency service.

 

"At 4:05 on 1 December, in the city of Lvov, fire broke out in the wooden building of the church of the Presentation of the Lord of the Kiev patriarchate (built in 2007). As a result, an area of about 30 square meters of roof was destroyed by the flame. There were no casualties or injuries. The fire was extinguished at 4:45 by units of the emergency service," the report says.

 

The cause of the fire is being established.

 

An operational group of the chief command of the emergency service in Lvov province worked at the scene of the incident. (tr. by PDS, posted 2 December 2015)
