PERSONNEL OF POLICE AND FSB BREAKUP JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES' SERVICE IN PETROZAVODSK

On 28 July 2016 armed OMON and FSB personnel disrupted a worship service of Jehovah's Witnesses in Petrozavodsk. The police conducted an interrogation, seized telephones from believers, threw several onto the floor while pinning them to the floor with their knees, and kicked them.
Members of the congregation said that the police also planted brochures that are included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials.
Forbidden literature was also planted on the same day in the Kingdom Hall in Kostomuksha. (tr. by PDS, posted 1August 2016)
