UNDERGROUND MEETING OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES DISPERSED IN AZERBAIJAN

The State Committee for Work with Religious Structures together with law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan put a stop to illegal activity of adherents of the sect of Jehovah's Witnesses, the press service of the committee reported.
The report states: "The State Committee for Work with Religious Structures together with law enforcement agencies on 9 April carried out operational measures in the Qaradag district of Baku at two addresses. As a result of the measures being conducted, illegal meetings of the nontraditional religious movement of Jehovah's Witnesses were discovered and ended."
It is to be noted that of the 33 participants of the meeting at the two addresses, ten were minor children.
In addition, a large quantity of propagandistic literature of Jehovah's Witnesses was discovered and seized.
