Russian president praises Jehovah's Witnesses' family values

 

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES FAMILY ACCEPTS AWARD FROM HAND OF HEAD OF STATE

Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia, 6 June 2017

 

On 31 May 2017, at a meeting in the Kremlin in Moscow, the president of the country awarded to Valery and Tatiana Novik, Jehovah's Witnesses from Karelia, the medal of "Parental Glory." Attending the ceremonial presentation also were six of the eight Novik children.

 

The honor is awarded to parents of multiple children, who give an example of the strengthening of the institution of the family and raising of children, form a socially responsible family, conduct a healthy style of life, and ensure a complete and harmonious development of the children's personality, a high level of concern for their health, education, and physical, spiritual,, and moral development.

 

In a statement of response, speaking of the spiritual and moral development of children, Valery Novik quoted a text from the Bible that served as a guide for him as a parent: "Train a child in the correct path; he will not depart from it even when he is aged" (Proverbs 22:6).
