JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES' PROPERTY TO BE DIVIDED IN KRASNOYARSK
Federal Press, 30 October 2017
The arbitration court of Krasnoyarsk territory received an application for the distribution of the property of the liquidated legal entity. The lawsuit was filed by the office of the Ministry of Justice for Krasnoyarsk territory.
As explained in the court, the issue is the property of the organization of the "Administrative Center of Jehovah's Witnesses," which is banned in Russia and recognized as extremist. Its Krasnoyarsk subdivision was housed in its own property, premises located in building No. 28 on Partizan Zhelezniak St. in Krasnoyarsk.
The plaintiff asks the court to order a procedure for distribution of said property among those persons who have a right to it.
The issue of accepting the lawsuit for consideration will be resolved within the course of five working days.
We recall that the activity of the Jehovah's Witnesses organization was suspended in Russia in March of this year and in July the Russian Supreme Court confirmed the legality of that prohibition. (tr. by PDS, posted 31 October 2017)
