More difficulties for protestants in use of meeting places

PENTECOSTAL ORGANIZATION IN ROSTOV-ON-DON TO PAY MORE THAN MILLION RUBLES FINE FOR LAND GRAB

One of the protestant religious organizations in Rostov-on-Don will pay a fine of more than one million rubles for violation of the Land Code, Interfax was told in the press service of the directorate of Rosreestr [Federal Service of State Registration, Assessment, and Cartography] for Rostov province.

 

On the basis of an inspection of the actions of a local religious organization of Christians of Evangelical Faith, "Youth with a Mission," there were exposed instances of unauthorized occupation of a parcel of land and also use of the parcel not in accord with its designated purpose. "The religious organization and its president have been held administratively accountable in the form of a fine totaling more than one million rubles," the news agency's source said.

 

He said that, in all, four cases of administrative violations of law were opened: two with respect to the organization itself and two with respect to its director.

 

According to a representative of the regional directorate of Rosreestr, in 2017, in all, the agency verified compliance with land legislation and held administratively accountable a number of other religious organizations for instances of violations.

 

"From the point of view of law, persons who commit administrative violations of law are equal before the law and legal entities are subject to administrative accountability regardless of their location, organizational legal forms, jurisdiction, and also other circumstances," the representative of the agency specified.
