ARSON COMMITTED ON BUILDING IN WHICH JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES LIVED IN MOSCOW SUBURB
Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia, 8 May 2017
On 30 April 2017, another act of vandalism was committed against adherents of the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses. In the village of Lutsino (Moscow province) one of the local residents, who earlier had spoken out against this religion negatively, in an intoxicated state, threw a bottle with inflammable liquid into the house where a family of Jehovah's Witnesses lived. The resulting fire destroyed two buildings and the vehicles of believers.
The perpetrator of the arson was arrested in hot pursuit. (tr. by PDS, posted 9 May 2017)
