{"id":2294,"date":"2024-03-23T12:35:27","date_gmt":"2024-03-23T16:35:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/creative-arts-internships\/?p=2294"},"modified":"2024-03-23T12:40:14","modified_gmt":"2024-03-23T16:40:14","slug":"worship-media-internship-3-9-24-meeting-reflection-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/creative-arts-internships\/worship-media-internship-3-9-24-meeting-reflection-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Worship &amp; Media Internship &#8211; 3\/9\/24 &#8211; Meeting Reflection 4"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During our internship meeting on March 9th we went over Audio Engineering Fundamentals, and reviewed the equipment and set up within the church. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the notes that I took during our meeting while exploring the equipment: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>interface &#8211; soundcraft Ui software<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soundcraft 12 channel hardware as a stage box&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has 8 dual inputs for quarter inch or xlr&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The first two are digitech for eq ( don\u2019t rlly use this)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other 4 are line in L R , usb 2 inputs ( 1 for media and one to record mix) (stereo to make up 16 channels)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connected via WiFi network &#8211; wants a networking cable going directly into the hardware<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outputs &#8211; 4 aux outputs , can create different mixes&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 &#8211; stage mix, 3 &#8211; computer , 4 &#8211; sub , nothing in 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can do an in ear mix on channel one, ran into the issue of not being to adjust personal in ear mixes&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master outputs go to the speakers (2) &#8211; alto ts408&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have to be on the same WiFi network :  identity 5G <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can access mixer on line through ip address &#8211; no physical mixer &#8211; pro , if there\u2019s no tech person&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wireless unit fixes 20db boost&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>trying to figure best option !! Bring in professional for their thoughts?&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Talked through pro presenter live stream&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>video &#8211; ATEM Mini Extreme ISO , with physical hardware used in software Ecam Live to receive and send media signal\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>up to 8 inputs can send to two places&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can record video&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Individual channels&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Could stream&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Camera &#8211; wireless transmitter hooked into atem then to computer&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enable stream and enable&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ecam live &#8211; stream to social media platforms&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After going through the purpose and function of the equipment and the signal chain, Pastor Byron shower me how to control the live mix whenever I need. We also figured out that we can use Playback through Multi Tracks on the main computer instead of just the iPads. This experience was super beneficial for me in understanding how things operate in the church and exposed me to new equipment and softwares that I haven&#8217;t heard of or worked with.
