Panaiotis

With support from the Artist and Lecturers Committee, Panaiotis visited our campus for several lectures in DIGA courses and an evening concert.  Panaiotis is composer who is currently a member of the research faculty at the University of New Mexico.  His most recent work focuses on musification, a process that turns information into music so that people can easily hear key features of complex data sets.

This engagement ended up being a reunion with a former collaborator, Nandu Muley, and a former student, Nathan Wolek. Each brought a different style of improvisatory music to the concert and the resulting combination was a unique and exciting blend of electronic, Indian and experimental music.
