Boys & Girls Club workshop

During the Spring 2013, students in Nathan Wolek’s Computer Music II course prepared a workshop for the local Boys & Girls Club. Our efforts were inspired by the work of Virginia Tech’s L2Ork. Using the K12 learning modules in their PD-L2Ork software, we were able to introduce basic concepts of sound synthesis to middle schoolers at the DeLand club during a 2-hour workshop.

This project was generously supported by Stetson University’s Community Based Research program. The following 4-minute video documents our semester of preparation and the day of the workshop.
