Juried Show Opens

The 24th annual Juried Student Art Exhibition opens at the Hand Art Center this Friday, November 8, with an opening reception held from 6-8pm. In addition, the Hand Art Center will have Saturday hours on November 9th from 11am to 3pm, so that we can welcome visitors during Homecoming.

This year’s show features 34 works by students from media ranging from painting to ceramics to video to photography. The reception on Friday evening will feature the presentation of awards, including those selected by our outside juror, Gary Monroe. Monroe is a documentary photographer, author and faculty member at Daytona State College, whose work has been honored by the National Endowment for the Arts, Florida Department of State’s Division of Cultural Affairs and the Fulbright Foundation.
