Spring 2015 Auditions

Auditions for

Master Class by Terrence McNally
and
Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris
will be held on:

January 12 from 3:30 – 5:30 and 7- 9 pm and
January 13 from 3:30 – 5:30 and 7- 9 pm

at the Second Stage Theatre in the Museum of Art, 600 N. Woodland Blvd., Deland

For Master Class:
If you will be auditioning for Master Class, and are interested in being cast as one of the music students, then please have a section of one of the following music selections prepared:

  • For sopranos: the aria “Ah, non credea mirarti” from the opera Sonnambula by Bellini
  • For Tenors: “Recondita armonia” from the opera Tosca by Puccini

If you are unable to locate the sheet music for one of the above selections, or are simply unable to prepare one of the above, but are still interested in auditioning for a singing role, then please have a music selection prepared that showcases your vocal talent as either a soprano or tenor.

An accompanist will be at the auditions, so please bring your sheet music with you. Individuals are strongly discouraged from auditioning with recorded music or singing a cappella.

In addition to vocal auditions, we will also be doing cold readings from the play, and scripts will be provided to auditionees.

For Clybourne Park:
Please have a 30 second contemporary, comedic monologue prepared.

In addition to monologue performances, we will also be doing cold readings from the play, and scripts will be provided to auditionees.
