AUDITIONS Spring 2016

Auditions for our first Spring production of The Learned Ladies by Moliere will take place:

Mon., Jan. 11th from 4:30 – 6:30, and 7:30 – 9:30
Tues., Jan. 12th from 4:30 – 6:30, and 7:30 – 9:30

at Stetson Theatre Arts’ “Second Stage” Theatre located in the Museum of Florida Art, 600 N. Woodland Blvd located just west of the parking lot between Chaudoin and Emily Hall (across the street).

In this hilarious comedy of manners, Clitandre seeks the hand of Henriette, a match heartily approved of by her father, Chrysale. However, his wife, Philaminte, has other plans for her younger daughter—namely marriage to Trissotin, a ridiculous fool who panders to Philaminte’s intellectual pretensions. Needless to say the course of true love does not run smoothly, but happily, all is set right in the end, with hypocrisy exposed and true love made triumphant.

You only need to attend one of the audition sessions listed above, but you are welcome to attend more if you would like to gain more experience. Auditions are open to all Stetson students (not just theatre arts majors or minors) and to all community members.

Please Note: As our theatre productions are an integral part of the theatre arts curriculum at Stetson University, all Stetson students participating in a production will be enrolled in a one-hour credit course entitled Theatre Production.

AUDITIONS for the student-directed one acts will be later this semester near the end of February – check back later for more information!
