Bedroom Farce by Alan Ayckbourn

Four couples, three bedrooms — what could possibly go wrong? Trevor and Susannah, with their marriage on the rocks, travel from bedroom to bedroom, raining hysterical havoc on everything they touch and spreading chaos in their wake.

Directed by guests artists based in Los Angeles, these are three short plays whose sexy, satirical, whimsical fight for inclusivity was just right for their time – and ours!

Machinal by Sophie Treadwell

Inspired by the real life case of Ruth Snyder, a woman convicted of murder and executed by electric chair in 1927, this expressionist play highlights a young woman’s attempt to find her own happiness and break away from the machine like routine of daily life.

Dates: February 22 – 24 at 8 pm, February 25 at 3 pm

Student Directed One-Act Plays

Students from the Advanced Directing class test their story-telling skills as they lead their fellow students in a production of their choice. With plays chosen and directed by students, this mini-festival always makes for a fun, thought-provoking evening.
