SUMMARY:Student Organizations Budgets Due\, Aug. 26th
DESCRIPTION:It is time for your organization to submit budgets to SBA. Every organization must submit a budget for Fall 2024 by Monday August 26th at 5:00PM. This includes any events and non-events (I.e.\, org meetings) your organization is planning to host this Fall. \n\n\nBefore submitting anything\, you must read the 2024-2025 Student Organization Officer Handbook attached to this email. The 2024-2025 Student Organization Officer Handbook is newly revised and thoroughly covers what SBA funds can and cannot be used for\, how to plan events\, resources for your orgs\, how to get reimbursed\, and Student Affairs policies and procedures. The Handbook has been updated since last year. After reading the 2024-2025 Student Organization Officer Handbook\, please complete the 2024-2025 Student Organization Officer Handbook Acknowledgement Form.\n\n\n\nAfter reading the Handbook\, the President or Treasurer for your organization must fill out the “SBA Event Funding Request Form | Fall 2024” for EACH AND EVERY event/non-event you plan to hold this Fall.\n\n\n\nAfter you fill out the funding request form\, you must fill out the “Master Budget Request Form | Fall 2024” to recap everything you submitted on the previous form. While redundant\, please make sure that the numbers and events align with both forms. This is the LAST form you will fill out\, so please do not submit this form until you have submitted each and every event you plant to host.\n\n\n\nBoth forms can also be found on the SBA Engage page. When completing both forms\, please be as specific as possible. After you submit the forms\, the SBA Finance Committee and I will review your event funding and master budget requests. If we have any specific questions\, we will be in touch by the email that is listed on the form you submitted. The SBA Legislative Council plans to vote on the master budget for Fall 2024 at the September 3rd 5:00PM meeting likely in the FR Courtroom.\n\n\nYour organization’s funding is the top priority of SBA. To ensure all organization’s event proposals and budgets are reviewed in a timely manner\, we will not accept late submissions. \n\nIf you have any questions\, please email me at jdgordon@law.stetson.edu or the SBA Finance Committee at SBAFinance@law.stetson.edu. \n\nI look forward to working with your organizations and hosting memorable events this year! \n\nP.S. Please look at the Student Organization Black Out list as it has been updated to reflect many additions.
