This position will assist with the Office\u2019s institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion research, as well as the Office\u2019s diversity pipeline initiatives in collaboration with the Office of Admissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must have strong interests in diversity, equity, and inclusion research and initiatives. An interest in higher education administration and policy is also preferred, but not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This position requires 20 hours per week and the hourly rate is $10.00 per hour through the federal work study program. The anticipated start date is in mid- to late May 2022 and the preferred duration is throughout Summer 2022, with a preference for continuation through Fall 2022 if the student is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the work will be completed virtually and will include a weekly virtual meeting using Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Summer 2022 work will include some in-person event management for the College of Law\u2019s pipeline programming on the Gulfport campus in collaboration with the Office of Admissions in early or mid-July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline to apply is Monday, May 16, 2022, but please note that we will review applications and reach out to applicants on a rolling basis. Applicants are also encouraged to contact Student Financial Planning to confirm your FWS eligibility and to discuss any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specific Duties<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\u2022 Support the overall diversity initiative and research efforts of Stetson University\u2019s Office of Diversity, Collaboration, and Inclusion (DCI)<br>\u2022 Assist in coordinating and managing the office\u2019s diversity pipeline programming efforts, along with the associated research and assessment needs in collaboration with Admissions<br>\u2022 Contribute to diversity- and equity-related institutional research efforts on behalf of the DCI office as needed<br>\u2022 Research diversity recruiting and retention trends within higher education, and assist in identifying needed areas of support for recruiting and retaining diverse students from underrepresented and marginalized backgrounds<br>\u2022 Assist in collaborating with other departments and student organizations that wish to amplify their diversity and inclusion efforts<br>\u2022 Assist in updating and maintaining the applicable webpages and marketing materials<br>\u2022 In collaboration with Admissions, participate in diversity recruitment events when needed and when available<br>\u2022 Manage a small budget for relevant programming<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stetson Law\u2019s Office of Diversity, Collaboration, and Inclusion is seeking a Stetson Law J.D. student to serve as a Diversity Initiatives Research Assistant (DIRA).
