Congratulations to the participants in, and the winners of, the spring 2022 Freeborn & Peters First-Year Appellate Advocacy Competition. This semester\u2019s competition was split over two nights (Wednesday and Thursday), and the competition was held on Zoom<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday evening, a special thanks to Sarah Gottlieb (chief judge), Ian Dankelman, and Jade Turner. And on Thursday evening, a special thanks to Hoyt Prindle III (chief judge), Amanda Keller, and Christina Flatau. And an extra-special thank you to Jason Stearns, who helped with the planning of the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And after the rounds, the judges spent time providing feedback and advice, but one theme was apparent\u2014there was nothing but praises for the students and the development of their advocacy skills.\u00a0 The judges were very impressed on how well the students did. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Congratulations, everyone!
