{"id":56036,"date":"2022-05-19T16:59:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-19T20:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/docket\/?p=56036"},"modified":"2022-05-18T17:22:33","modified_gmt":"2022-05-18T21:22:33","slug":"kcmba-annual-heartland-diversity-legal-job-fair-august-12-august-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.stetson.edu\/law\/docket\/kcmba-annual-heartland-diversity-legal-job-fair-august-12-august-13\/","title":{"rendered":"KCMBA Annual Heartland Diversity Legal Job Fair August 12-August 13"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As the new director of Diversity, Equity &amp; Inclusion at the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association I am pleased to announce that this year we will be hosting <em>in-person<\/em> the <a href=\"https:\/\/kcmba.org\/web\/Events\/Heartland_Diversity_Legal_Job_Fair\/web\/KCMBA_Website\/Events\/Heartland_Diversity_Legal_Job_Fair.aspx?hkey=0f86d0dc-d806-412b-8da5-167adca5a4cb\">Annual Heartland Diversity Job Fair<\/a> (HDLJF) August 12, 2022 \u2013 August 13, 2022, here at KCMBA headquarters!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is a quick overview of events, how to register, and accommodations.&nbsp; We have also produced <a href=\"https:\/\/heartlanddiversity.org\/heartdiv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/2022-HDLJF-Student-Brochure_03.pdf\">brochures<\/a> and would be happy to mail to you, student affinity groups, and students directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/heartlanddiversity.org\/\">Registration<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To register for the event, please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/heartlanddiversity.org\/students\/student-registration\/\">law-kcmba.csm.symplicity.com\/students<\/a>.&nbsp; Please note that there is no fee for students to register.<\/li><li>Early bird registration deadline is May 31, 2022.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Registration forms are available in PDF format. Should you be aware of students who might need support accessing online registration, I am happy to help support them through the process.<\/li><li>Student registration deadline is June 28, 2022.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/heartlanddiversity.org\/sponsorhip\/schedule-of-events\/\">Schedule of Events<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friday, August 12, 2022&nbsp; &#8212; We will kick off the event with registration, a diversity panel discussion featuring some of Kansas City\u2019s finest diverse legal professionals, and a welcome reception at KCMBA Headquarters. Registration will continue on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4:00 \u2013 7:00 pm | Student Registration<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4:30 \u2013 5:30 pm | Diversity Panel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5:30 \u2013 7:00 pm | Welcome Reception<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saturday, August 13, 2022 &#8212; The interview process will be conducted on a 50\/50 scale.&nbsp; Employers will pre-select half of the students whom they wish to interview.&nbsp; The remaining half of the interview schedule will be filled based on lottery.&nbsp; All interviews will be conducted at KMBA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7:30 am | Employer\/Student Registration<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7:30 \u2013 8:30 am | Employer Room Setup<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8:30 \u2013 12:00 pm | Employer Interviews<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12:00 \u2013 1:30 pm | Keynote Luncheon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1:40 \u2013 4:30 pm | Employer Interviews<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accommodations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HDLJF will have a limited number of hotel rooms at an area hotel reserved for students who reside more than 50 miles from Kansas City. &nbsp;Rooms will be $50, and are available on a first come, first served basis.
