Each volunteer law student is assigned a Ukrainian family and their US sponsor to help them navigate the USCIS process to get a parole visa under the Uniting for Ukraine I-134 refugee program or a Temporary Protective Status visa if they are already in the U.S. &nbsp;Once the family arrives in the U.S. the student helps with getting a work permit, public assistance, summer school for children, &nbsp;and other needs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work is done virtually. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UMACT provides immigration lawyers and law professors assisting students with pro bono supervision and training. <strong>If you are interested in volunteering to provide legal assistance please contact Professor Michael Bazyler, Chapman University, at <a href=\"mailto:bazyler@chapman.edu\">bazyler@chapman.edu<\/a>.
