Stetson Law\u2019s Office of Diversity, Collaboration, and Inclusion is seeking a Stetson Law J.D. student to serve as a Diversity Initiatives Research Assistant (DIRA). This position will assist with the Office\u2019s institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion research, as well as the Office\u2019s diversity pipeline initiatives in collaboration with the Office of Admissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This position requires 20 hours per week and the hourly rate is $10.00 per hour through the federal work study program. The anticipated start date is late August or early September 2022 and the preferred duration is throughout Fall 2022, with a preference for continuation through Spring 2023 if the student is available. Most of the work will be completed virtually and will include a weekly virtual meeting using Microsoft Teams or Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specific Duties<\/strong>
\u2022 Support the overall diversity initiative and research efforts of Stetson University\u2019s Office of Diversity, Collaboration, and Inclusion (DCI)
\u2022 Assist in coordinating and managing the office\u2019s diversity pipeline programming efforts, along with the associated research and assessment needs in collaboration with Admissions
\u2022 Contribute to diversity- and equity-related institutional research efforts on behalf of the DCI office as needed
\u2022 Research diversity recruiting and retention trends within higher education, and assist in identifying needed areas of support for recruiting and retaining diverse students from underrepresented and marginalized backgrounds
\u2022 Assist in collaborating with other departments and student organizations that wish to amplify their diversity and inclusion efforts
\u2022 Assist in updating and maintaining the applicable webpages and marketing materials
