The Sara Gassman Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We collaborate with local Florida music educators to identify and provide free music lessons to students who do not otherwise have the opportunity to experience music instruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Foundation is looking for two Stetson University College of Law students to assist the Foundation while earning both legal and community service pro bono hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Approximately 10 legal pro bono hours per student are available. The students will prepare the Foundation\u2019s disclosure forms that must be filed with the IRS and review legal and tax requirements for compliance purposes. Students will also file appropriate documentation required by the State of Florida for a charity that solicits donations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Approximately 30 community service pro bono hours per student are also available. Students will interview past and present students, teachers, and parents who have been involved with the Foundation. Based on those interviews, the students will develop and implement a plan to expand the Foundation\u2019s impact and effectiveness. The students will also suggest and engage in other courses of conduct that are conducive to the purposes of the Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
